Have you struggled at MLM like I have? Have you even managed to earn close to a good MLM income from your efforts? There is a good chance the answer to question 1 is Yes and the answer to Question 2 is No.

Well if you answered both questions correctly don’t feel bad, because 97% of the people involved with MLM would have answered them correctly as well. What does this tell us? Well it tells us that only 3% of the people in MLM make the real money. Why is that you may say, well the plain and simple fact is that the old school tactics (still being taught by the way) just don’t work anymore and maybe they never did for the average person.

Sure you have the “special go getter types” out there that can sell snow to Eskimo’s but most of us just do not possess these talents. If you are anything like me you probably attended all those meetings where you tried to convince all your friends, family and strangers to go to. How many really showed up? One if you were lucky.

You just followed your upline’s instructions, make a list of 100 of your friends and family and call them, attend the weekly meetings, bring prospects, buy leads, pitch the Company, pitch the product and on and on. Well let me share a little secret with you….You need to brand yourself first. Before you even try to get people to buy into your primary company or product they need to buy into YOU!

This type of marketing is attraction marketing and is becoming very popular and successful. It teaches you to become a leader and someone who people would want to follow. You will become the Hunted not the Hunter, instead of pleading with “prospects” to join your program and sounding pretty desperate(who would want to join that guy anyway?) they will be chasing after you to sign up in your program. Which would you rather be? The Hunted or the Hunter.

People join You not a business:

So how do you get people to join you?

• You re-evaluate your business and start treating it like a real business and not a hobby.
• You purchase marketing and personal development courses to increase your value to others.
• You start selling yourself and not your opportunity which generates attraction.
• You lead with a “self liquidating offer” to your cold market which targets other network marketers and this allows you to generate endless leads for free.
• You start promoting your product to your warm market and build a customer base.
• You develop an awareness for finding other leaders in your downline.

Until I learned this attraction marketing system I was doing it all wrong to, I am just thankful I did discover it and started doing Network Marketing the right way.

Where do you start with your new MLM business opportunities? We heard all the advise from our upline leaders but now we have to actually go do it!

• We have to make that list of 100 friends and family.
• We have to pick up the phone and call them.
• We have to try to convince them to give us time to show them the opportunity.

A good system gives you excellent training on developing those Leadership skills as well as all aspects of your business.

BACK END PROFITS/ Your MLM Opportunity...Finally after you have gone through the previous 5 steps we arrive at YOUR Opportunity. How would it feel never to hear those lame excuses about why someone can’t join….I have no money, it’s a bad time for me now, I need to check with my wife, oh I have tried this before and it doesn’t work. Well with a system like this you won’t have to hear them again because using this method you are qualifying your leads before they even hear about your primary network marketing business opportunity.

If you are, then you are not alone my friend. There is way too much information (both good and bad) and training out there, it’s impossible to know where to start. This all results in the “Overwhelmed and Confused Network Marketer”.

What do we do to fix this terrible affliction? Well to start with we need to stop following some of the old school ways of getting leads and attracting prospects…they just do not work for most of us anymore…you know the tactic’s I am talking about: hassling your friends and family to join up or buy the product,trying to trail people to meetings to sign them up,cold calling and all the rest of it.

I have tried this over and over again with the three or four Network Marketing companies I have joined in the past but nothing seemed to work for me.These were good well respected companies so it wasn’t the company or the products they produced that were the problem, No the problem was ME!

Network Marketing has a way of exposing your weaknesses in a very big way.We follow the leaders above us and listen to what they tell us, we use all the tools at our finger tips and still 97% of us still fail…the one thing most of us don’t look at is ourselves…and that IS what we need to change…our mindset, our thoughts and our negativity. WE need to take responsibility for OUR lives.

The company wont do it, the product wont do it, the comp plan wont do it…we need to overcome our fears and get out and do it,.recognize your shortcomings and go out and conquer them.

I know this may sound overwhelming in itself, but believe me it’s not if you have a system set in place, a system that organizes everything in one place,trains you how to do it right,has affiliate programs set up so you can earn fast money to fund your advertising, that will generate the leads you need to populate your primary network marketing business. In other words a community of like minded entrepreneurs.

I have struggled mightily myself and until I changed my mindset, thoughts and negativity I was going nowhere in my business. You need to do all of that and find the right system that shows you how to market properly and get those leads, the life blood of our business.

There is a right way of doing it and pitching your company or product is not it. You need to brand yourself and sell yourself first, people will follow and so will sign-ups and ultimately that residual income we all crave.

Reinvent the way you work your network marketing business and go from being one of the 97 percenter’s to being one of the 3 percenter’s.

I  met a guy yesterday who absolutely loved his business.

That wasn’t the problem.

Here’s where this gentleman went wrong…

The first thing that came out of his mouth on our initial handshake
was, “Hello, my name is Frank. How would you like to own your
own business? I’ve got this amazing opportunity with this amazing
product and the company is in pre-launch. Get in now and you’ll be
set for life!”

Ok.

Honestly…Do you think Frank has a good shot at establishing any
type of relationship or any chance at sponsoring distributors
using this opening line???

Of course not! Its ludicrous to think that this could ever work.

I felt like I just got puked on by Frank and his business opportunity.

Yup, Frank puked on me.

And I definitely don’t want to do business with Frank now because I don’t
work with people who puke on me…and neither should you!

This is THE #1 WORST POSSIBLE THING you could do if you’re trying
to build a network marketing business.

This repels your ONLY target market, network marketers, because
they could care less about your business.

This approach doesn’t work in person so why would anyone in their
right mind believe it could on a website?

Yet I see MILLIONS of networkers promoting websites that are doing
EXACTLY what Frank has done here: Puking on people by promoting
their business opportunity on the initial handshake.
